U17s Hit Eight Past North Leeds

24/09/20

Our U17s recorded their second win in two weeks with a resounding 8-2 win over North East Leeds on Sunday 20th September.

Town took the lead early through Jack Annis’ long range shot that dipped over the goalkeeper, before doubling their advantage when good work down the right from Ollie Lamb gave Joe Dixon a tap in.

After conceding a goal, Town restored their two goal advantage when Joel Barker’s run was ended abrubtly in the box; Alfie Dean slotting the resulting penalty away nicely.

Town started the second half very well with three goals in ten minutes, first when Dean’s corner found George Horbury unmarked in the box to power home his header.

Lamb was the provider again after his flick on found centre back Joe Caygill to force the ball home, before completing a hat-trick of assists with a good cut back found Dixon to fire home.

Dixon completed his hat-trick in style when Harrison Jeal’s run released him on the edge of the area and he bent the ball into the top corner.

Tom Addley finished the scoring when Dean threaded the ball through to leave him one on one, his low finish leaving the keeper no chance.
