U12/13s Travel to Doncaster Rovers

28/01/20

Town U12/13’s travelled over to Doncaster Rovers on Friday 24th January in their biggest test of the season so far.

The game turned out to be an excellent spectacle for the parents of both teams with some exciting passages of play throughout the game.

Town started on the front foot and pressed Doncaster with a real purpose leading Town to race into a 2-0 lead with both goals coming from Andrew Todd in what was an impressive display from the young winger.

However, minutes after this positive start, Town took their foot of the gas and started to let Doncaster come back into the game, scoring through a sloppy moment from the Town defence.

After this period Town got back on top, playing some fantastic football in the process. The boys are really confident at the moment and displayed this in their movement on and off the ball which at times was unplayable.

Charlie Moss was dominating the midfield in winning the ball back and starting the attacks, a very impressive performance from him yet again.

The goals then started to come with Donnie Green grabbing a hat-trick, Will Todd, George Meaking and Henry Straker all getting one, before Andrew Todd grabbed his third of the night resulting in a 8-2 victory for Town.

Well done Lads.
