PDC Travel To Mansfield

14/01/20

Town travelled to the excellent facilities of Mansfield on Friday 10th January, where they started off 2020 just the way they finished 2019.

Mansfield 3 – 13 Town U8/9s

Bobby Haveron scored ten seconds after kick off with a great finish in the bottom corner, but Mansfield were to level shortly after through a defensive mix up at the back.

Town started to grow into the game, keeping possession of the ball very well and causing Mansfield a few problems which lead to Isaiah Prosper grabbing his first of the game.

Town came out the blocks quickest after the break, extending their lead to 6-1 with goals from Sam Stalker, Archie Davy and two from Prosper, who completed his hattrick.

This didn’t stop Mansfield though, their striker responding with an outstanding goal that lobbed the keeper.

Town bounced straight back with two quick fire goals from Freddie Pickering, before Stalker scored an outstanding solo goal, soon followed up with a strike from Freddie White.

With Town dominating the game they managed to grab a couple more goals, first through an own goal, then a great strike by Jacob Tiller.

George Lamb was to finish off the scoring for Town, which was quickly followed by a late Mansfield goal.
Town were the stronger team on the night in what was a great start to 2020.

Mansfield Town 1 - 8 Town U10/11s

Town got off to a fast start with Josh Hayes turning home a corner early on to give them the lead.

Mansfield replied with a quick break though, sliding the ball past the on rushing keeper.

Harrogate then began to control the game more and more with good possession in attacking areas, creating plenty of chances allowing Hayes to score once again after showing quick feet to make it 2-1.

After this the game continued in the same vein with Harrogate ending up with a hat full, the full scorers list comprising of Hayes x4, Albie Jaruga x3 and Jacob Haig with the final goal.

Overall it was a fantastic performance from Harrogate and a well-deserved win.
