Harrogate Town AFC are creating a football pathway for females in Harrogate and the surrounding area. This will include a new Under 16’s team playing 11-a-side football in the West Riding County Girls Football League and will allow for a natural progression to the Development Squad and subsequently the Ladies First Team who currently play in the North East Region Women’s Football League.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Clubs vision to provide the seamless link from junior to adult female football with FA Licensed and EUFA Qualified Coaches.

If you are interested in your daughter joining Harrogate Town AFC U16s, (school year’s 10 and 11 from September 2020), or Harrogate Town AFC Ladies Development Squad (age 16+ from 1^st September 2020), and learning more about the new female pathway at Harrogate Town AFC, please register your interest to [email protected] by Monday 29^nd June 2020. Sarah will then send to you an Information and Consent form which must completed in full prior to your daughter attending the planned open day.

We will organise and inform you by e mail of the date and time of the open day when the present Covid-19 situation allows. The open day will consist of:

A presentation of the club’s football and educational pathway by the Women’s first team manager Bob Wilkinson, and Les Johnson, Women and Girls Development Officer at HTAFC
A short presentation on the club’s links to the University of York St John and its BTEC sports courses will be given by Josh Falkingham, captain of the Men’s first team
FA qualified coaching sessions and small sided games
We will also provide information on the possibilities for girls to play and study in the U.S.A.
