Want to give your 16-17 year old a summer of opportunity? At the Harrogate Town Community Foundation we have a great prospect for your young person to push themselves outside of their comfort zone with the National Citizen Service NCS.
Our two-week NCS programme includes a residential trip and a chance to learn new skills with other young people from your local area. Along with building their confidence and independence, your young person will also have the special opportunity to make their own social action project where they’ll make a change within their local community for people that are in need of help.
This could be a fundraising for a charity close to their heart or going into the community and directly helping those in need.
NCS is recognised throughout the country by universities and employers, so whatever your young person is looking to do in the near future, NCS is a great opportunity to enable them to stand out from others as well as share some wonderful experiences with current and new friends.
