With the school year restarting we are glad to be back delivering our school programmes in a number of partner schools.
During lockdown we supported 20 local primary schools through virtual/online challenges, activities and live workouts but this September we’ve been back in the schools engaging with young people.
We’ve been delivering a wide-range of school activities with our main programme being Premier League Primary Stars which includes our professional coaches delivering high quality PE whilst upskilling the teachers to become more confident and competent to deliver PE. We also deliver a variety of afterschool clubs for primary and secondary schools, the sessions are tailored to meet the needs of the school.
Community Officer Tom Blackburn is looking forward to what Foundation has planned over the next year.
“We have a really exciting year ahead of us at the Foundation. We are welcoming four new members of staff who will help with the growth, development and impact the Foundation continues to make in the local area.
"Throughout the last academic year we interacted with over 5000 children in the Harrogate and District area. We have noticed more young people wearing Harrogate Town football kits and clothing due to the continuous success on and off the pitch.”
