Our Club Secretary and Ladies player Abbey Smith is on a mission to raise £4,000 for MIND by 18th February.
Abbey will be running a total of 100k in January and hosting various raffles and events to help her reach her goal.
Part of this will include taking part in RED January, a nationwide movement empowering people to move every day, to beat the winter blues away.
The main challenge will arrive in May, when Abbey climbs to the 2,430 metre summit of Machu Picchu in Peru, all in aid of MIND.
“MIND is a charity that is close to my heart as it has helped friends and family in the past, and with the current covid situation across the globe, I feel that now more than ever, the charity needs as much support as possible, to be able to help with people’s mental health.” Explained Abbey.
MIND are the Official Charity of the EFL having joined forces ahead of the 2018/19 season to use the power of football to help improve the nation’s mental health and wellbeing.
